Role Purpose:
The Fraud Manager is responsible for Leading the local Market Fraud Management team to effectively manage the risk of fraud and to mitigate its impact on Vodafone’s financial performance, customer experience, and brand.
Manages an operational team of experts in:
Fraud methods and fraud detection techniques to address all relevant fraud types.
Fraud incident response and victim support.
Fraud root cause identification and prevention.
Stakeholder management and the raising of fraud awareness throughout an organisation.
Fraud systems utilisation and third-party service management.
Works collaboratively within the Fraud Vertical to maximise Global fraud performance and efficiencies.
Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:
Understand and manage the Vodafone Local Market fraud risk, aligned to Vodafone leadership and external stakeholder expectations. This includes strategic planning, prioritisation, and delivery management.
Develops and maintains a capable and engaged Local Market fraud team that efficiently manages fraud incidents and risks independently, as well as with the support of third-party services.
Manages the development and implementation of best-in-class Fraud Management policies, methods, tools, and MI reporting aligned with Global standards.
Maximises local market fraud value-add through continuous iterative improvement to fraud loss detection, mitigation, recovery, and root cause prevention.
Owns the local market fraud victim experience, ensuring high-quality support and compliance with regulatory obligations.
We Are Looking For You, If You Have:
Complexity Management - Assumes a mindset that continuously seeks to evaluate and challenge to improve the status quo.
Risk Management - Plans and leads risk reduction strategies for Fraud Management within first, second and third-line assurance environments for the reduction in Fraud Risk.
Interpersonal Skills - Develops and nurtures mutually beneficial relationships with teams, peers, stakeholders and leadership to achieve company objectives.
Customer Centricity – fully considers the customer in all aspects of decision-making and encourages the same in others.
Fraud Techniques – positively influences fraud methodology development and adoption within Vodafone and industry forums.
Essential
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
Highly numerate, with a degree in Commerce / Information Technology / Informatics or relevant equivalent
At least 3 years of experience in leading a fraud management team within a Telco, banking or technology company.
At least 3 years of experience in stakeholder decision support and influence about investment and business transformation.
Desirable
Post Graduate qualification in Data Science / Information Technology / Business Administration
Experience in managing fraud management tools/platforms
